Thomas D. Smithgall leads the development function for High Real Estate Group LLC and the High family portfolio, as well as the growth and management of the expanding development services market.  He has more than 20 years of development and building experience with industrial, commercial, and hospitality projects throughout the eastern United States.  As High continues to adapt to a new real estate marketplace, it will seek opportunities to provide quality development and management skills to those they serve.  The principle focus is to enhance the High reputation of quality and customer service in the real estate development industry by promoting its capabilities as a developer, builder, asset and property manager, and syndicator.

Mr. Smithgall began his real estate career as a residential and commercial Realtor in 1975.  In 1989, he began his career at High Associates Ltd. as a project manager. In addition to his work for High Associates, Mr. Smithgall served as Manager of Business Development for High Construction Company.  Presently, Mr. Smithgall serves to enhance High’s position within the real estate marketplace as Senior Vice President of Development.

Mr. Smithgall holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Franklin & Marshall College and a Masters in Governmental Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.  Active in community and industry activities, Mr. Smithgall is a Board Member of Southeast Lancaster Health Services and a past Board President.  He is also on the YWCA Board of Trustees and is a Board Director of the Lancaster County Transportation Authority and the James Street Improvement District.  A member of the Urban Land Institute and its Public/Private Partnership Council, Mr. Smithgall is also a member of the Lancaster County Association of Realtors and its Commercial/Industrial Council, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
